When I painted this painting I was asking God for peace. I was surrounded at home by couples who fought a lot in the apartments around me and I had dealt with domestic violence in my own life. "No more domestic violence" was a mantra as I prayed and painted. I have experienced peace in my life ever since I painted this painting. I see in this painting the peace I needed and the prayer I have for all of us in life. May love be peaceful, may love be safe, may love be love.
